We’re pleased to let you know that Iron Lady at Clarendon Place is joining The Steam Shop family.

The Steam Shop is a Glasgow-based laundry and dry cleaning business with more than 30 years of experience serving customers across the city.

We’ll be taking over the Iron Lady business and continuing to provide laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services from the existing premises.

If you’re an existing Iron Lady customer, you can continue to use the shop as normal.

We appreciate that a change of ownership can naturally raise questions. We want the transition from Iron Lady to The Steam Shop to be straightforward for customers, and we’ll be keeping the things that work while gradually investing in and improving the service. We look forward to welcoming existing Iron Lady customers to the new and improved Steam Shop site.

What's Changing?

The biggest change you’ll notice is the name. The Iron Lady will gradually be rebranded as The Steam Shop. Over time, you’ll see new signage, branding, systems and service options introduced as we bring the Glasgow Central shop together with our existing Steam Shop business. We’re taking a careful approach to the transition. Our priority is to make sure the service remains reliable and familiar while we introduce improvements gradually.

We will continue to operate from the existing Clarendon Place premises.

You will continue to be served by the same, experienced and familiar team.

Same Service

Laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services will continue as usual.

You can find The Steam Shop Glasgow Central at 30 Clarendon Place, G20 7PZ, Glasgow

Our opening hours will remain unchanged, open from
Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

For customers who need weekend access, our Glasgow West End shop is available from Tuesday to Sunday.

A little about The Steam Shop

The Steam Shop has been part of Glasgow’s laundry and dry cleaning industry for more than 30 years.

Our existing West End shop provides laundry, dry cleaning, ironing and collection and delivery services to thousands of customers across Glasgow.

Bringing Iron Lady into The Steam Shop gives us the opportunity to combine the experience and customer relationships of both businesses while investing in the service for the future.

Our aim is simple: reliable cleaning, careful garment handling and a genuinely helpful local service.
